WNBA
Great season last season. The Atlanta Dream made a wonderful run at the championship. Seattle did win but those ladies gave it their all. The Dream defeated the Washington Mystics in the conference semi-finals. It was a tough two games where the Dream won 95-90 in the first game and 101-77 in the second game. That ended the Mystics' season, but they all had good sportsmanship about it. Then the Dream blew by the New York Liberty to get to the finals against Seattle. Angel McCoughtry was the leader of the Atlanta Dream. She averaged 2.3 Assists per Game and 2 Steals per Game. Those are some impressive stats. But more impressive than all of those, she led the team in scoring with 26.7 Points per Game! On the down side, she had 3.14 Turn overs per Game. But her stats went down in the finals. She averaged 25 Points per Game and only 2 Assists per game and .67 Steals per Game. The Atlanta Dream's second star player, Iziane Castro Marques, also known as Izi, stepped it up big time in the finals with 20.3 Points per Game and 1.3 Assists per Game. Overall, Atlanta is a fierce and young team and the future is looking good over the horizon.

Paul your right those ladies tried their hardest. I was so into that Atlanta Dream Seattle game that I even started to tear up when the Dream couldn't pull through.I really thought they had that one. But there's always next year and im gonna be watching every game.Go Dream!
ReplyDeleteSince i am a tennis player i can really feel for the stress that they are going threw. Every time that i lose to a really close match i get upset and disappointed because i know that i have worked so hard to try to win that match. When the match is over i say to myself that i have played the best i could.
